That has been the problem in the states especially regarding Trump. Everything gets judged on basic level counting metrics. It's all about crowd sizes, TV ratings, etc. But then they totally ignore that popularity does not necessarily correlate with quality. Justin Beiber or Miley Cyrus shouldn't be the ones we go to for advice on innovations in music simply because they sold a lot of albums.
