But seriously, didn't mean to take over the conversation, I was just musing that all the fashion advice is hilariously foreign to me. Not one bit of it matters. The Vans? Yeah. I get away with it. I suppose someone that puts more effort into their appearance would have trouble being comfortable wearing Vans to a wedding, but it's right in my wheelhouse. Right there. Same shoes I wore to Home Depot yesterday. They'll be clean, but they'll still be Vans or something similar. And by similar, I mean something that I tied the laces on the first day I owned them, and they've never been untied.

It’s like anything. If you care, then there’s advice for you, if you don’t care, then disregard.
It’s not like there’s anything wrong with prioritising comfort and ease. That’s a whole thing in and of itself. Nothing here is supposed to matter to everyone, it’s just for those who it does matter to.
