This could make sense then. Kylo somehow gets in touch with the Emperor, or a message that the emperor left behind. The emperor provides him with a huge stash of new ships, to replace the ones destroyed in TLJ.

I sure hope they’re coming out of Palpatine’s Star Forge in that formation, one Corellian Corvette loaded with explosives could wreck that fleet in seconds. /supernerd
