Frankly I think that because of the nature of prospects and trades and free agent signings and the personalities involved the chances of a good 5 year prediction are equivalent to playing the stock market by using tarot cards.

I know it's just for fun, but I just don't see the point, as roster turnover is just too great.
If we look at today's roster, through a lens from 5 years ago, only 8 of the current players would have been knowable at the time.
Gaudreau - Monahan -
Lindholm
Tkachuk - Backlund -
Frolik
Bennett - Jankowski -
Lucic
Mangiapane -
Ryan -
Dube
Czarnik,
Quine,
Everyone else
Giordano - Brodie
Hanifin -
Hamonic
Valimaki -
Andersson
Kylington -
Davidson
Valiev -
Yelesin
Rittich -
Talbot
Gillies -
Parsons
Schneider -
Zagidulin
That's 8 total in the organization, not just the 23 man roster.
But whatever - have at 'er.
