Hip problems later in life are pretty common for goaltenders. Rehabbing it to get back to a normal life is probably his main goal. in the meantime, he dips his foot into coaching.
Given his personality, I see him as pretty much as a goaltending coach. Head coaches have to be pretty intense. Probably why a no-BS guy like Bill Peters clashed with him.
