I almost forgot about you . . . . . some pictures of YOUR London from my visit two years ago . . . . and yeah, in retrospect, it does look a little gloomy (I'll leave these pictures up for a few weeks, then they'll disappear):

Speakers corner in Hyde Park . . . the guy people were listening to . . .

. . . . versus the guy nobody was listening to. I swear this guy stood on this little ladder screaming his message at the top of his lungs for the full half hour/40 minutes I was around with not a single person giving him the slightest attention:

. . . . . and a guy who seemed to have been sleeping in the park overnight gives the gears to one of the speakers:

Regents Park . . . . wonderful parks in London . . .

Street entertainer at, I think, Charing Cross . . .

The audience . . . . . a modest story behind this picture below . . . . the little girl in the hat in the foreground holding her mother's hand . . . . while walking with my wife near Shaftsbury Lane I had seen her leaning on a shop door, framed in bright green as I recall, with a vacant, distracted, even haunted look on her face. For a split second I considered taking a moment to get that shot but took one step, then the next and the moment, as it so often is, was lost forever but I never forgot it because it would have made a fairly spectacular image . . . . I was astonished a few days ago, when looking at these pictures, to see her again in this one.

More Monty Python at Russell Square . . . .
