I vote for asking her after she gets off work.
If you're worried that she'll be leaving with friends and it'll be akward, you can always take a page from Dane Cook's book and ask her, "Hey, are you going to be walking to your car alone later on?".

Then you'll know if it's safe to wait for her after work.
