Players/agents do not get involved in coaching decisions, especially in a public manner. Very unprofessional.
Agents can lobby on behalf of their client, preferably not on Twitter where they are trying to embarrass the organization.

Not only that, but coaches talk a lot about how different it is to coach the new generation. Your idea that players don’t have input in to the team and that stuff happens behind closed doors is naive or antiquated, or basically wrong for some other reason because it’s not reality
Most importantly, the team was making an obvious mistake for itself on the ice, devaluing a good asset, and frankly at risk of significantly damaging his career. Damn right his agent should advocate for him.
