The great example of this mentioned above is Honda Center in Anaheim and SAP Center in San Jose.
Anaheim built their arena first, and went with a "cutting edge" design with the concourses split amongst the levels.
San Jose went the "safe" route shortly after, and has an arena that feels at least a decade older than what was built first in Anaheim.
