I know you're being sarcastic for the purposes of this thread, but in all honesty, it does get brought up on a regular basis.

Sure, you don't "need" AC in Calgary, but life is so much more luxurious with it.

Have you tried installing reflective film on the upstairs windows? It helped a ton to change a room I had from sauna to satisfactory.
