I just bit the bullet and got one installed this year too. The installer recommended I don't put it below 20 degrees long term, as it could potentially freeze the coils in your furnace if you have the AC constantly on during hot days. I just leave mine at 21 all the time, and turn it down to 20 occasionally if I feel it still too hot on the 2nd floor.

Yeah the last place we had the coils would freeze up a bunch and I was worried about that with this place but not once.
