I will fully admit that a part of my annoyance at the short review period is my exasperation at a council that has been more than willing to kick issues down the road (and back to endless committees) when it is an issue that might blow back on their re-election chances. Bike lanes, ward boundaries, Green Line - you name it, our gang can dither on it for seemingly ever. At times, it seems that the only time they can get anything done is the two years after an election because once the next election gets close enough, that's the end of any sort of decisiveness.
