I think the Davidson for all his good work has fallen into a common Change Management/Detractor trap. I am actually quite surprised given his background.
Every large project I have been part of you are aware that despite what people tell you, if they are high risk you cross every t and dot every i. People like Farkas and Druh are completely in this group. Their motives are clear, and they'll look to every and any fault to appear to be coming from fairness and not personally being seen as a nay sayer.
Those people you have to be aware of. You need to work to show you are working to be totally fair. You need to record all their responses. You are doing yourself a disservice to not, they are going to come after you and you should know that.
