Gillies for me. Still reason to believe in him. Those NCAA SV% numbers were spectacular.

2nd half of season got him back on track. I wonder if he suffered as did many big goalies (Smith) to adjust to new equipment.

"From October to January, Gillies was 6-12-4 with a 4.05 goals against average and .868 save percentage.

"The recent reduction in the size of goaltending equipment may have benefited shorter goalies. The smaller goalies are a little bit faster, for the most part, and we've had to do more our whole lives, the whole way up for the most part," Dell said. "So I think now that they've made the gear smaller, I think the bigger guys have bigger holes. That equalizes it a little bit. I think the smaller guys get a little faster and it just opens up those gaps on the bigger guys."
