I doubt there was a ton of monetary value there for them, but it was a nice ego boost...especially when 2004 came around.

Also, the whole thing came about after the CEO of Pengrowth asked if he could lease a suite. When told that they were all booked, he asked if the situation would change if he bought the naming rights. The answer, evidently, was yes.
Pengrowth's naming rights was entirely about ego.
