ugh, this morning i felt like gear 18 was not enough and 19 was too hard. i'd assume though i was having a slightly better morning than the guy i passed who had a flat (yes i did slow down and ask him if he had what he needed to make the repair).
i have also been somewhat surprised at the number of deer that have been lurking in the treed area behind douglasdale thru to carburn park. sometimes the deer are very close to the path along a blind corner, and some days i wonder if they will suddenly bolt in front of me.
i have been passed a few times by the same guy, he is a biking ninja, as he gives no warning, no bell and his bike is deadly silent......those folks on those electric scooters downtown are sometimes interesting, a guy yesterday was scootering like he was drunk. had to wait a bit before i could comfortably pass him.....e-bikes are just plain annoying......
i would also be remiss if i did not give a special shout out to the motorcyclist the other day who boxed me out on mackenzie towne blvd. this donkey eventually decided it was boring riding in a straight line so he started to do little "c" cuts in the lane and i passed him then slid tot eh left a bit to take more of the lane. i thought that cyclists and motorcyclists were close on the spectrum.....i guess not. my guess is this guys other rig is a jacked up pick up truck with a blue bottle on the exhaust and he likely had white oakleys
