On the one hand, it's amusing to see the characterization of Lucic change from one day to the next, as soon as he becomes Flames property.
You could argue that's homerism at it's finest, and while I think that's obviously at work to some degree, I think some of it is standard in any trade - you don't like the idea, you get the player, and you start looking more closely at him and realizing that while he still sucks, there might be some things that could turn out more favourably at first thought.
Lucic has been horrible, but so was Neal last year. And I do think Neal has a better chance of bouncing back.
Arguing over Eriksson is pointless. He wasn't part of his trade and he's just as horrible as the other two players that were involved. Lucic's drop-off has certainly been more precipitous year to year, but it's like arguing over which eye you want stabbed out. It doesn't matter, it still sucks either way.
Lucic is more physical, but hits are often a reflection of your team not having the puck. His foot-speed could turn out to be a huge problem.
