If Chicago buys Smith out, his cap hit for the next four years is ~1M
If they were to buy Anisimov out, his cap hit would be >3M for the next two years. and then ~500k for the two after that.
So they could pay Anisimov 4.5M next two years to play or Smith ~1M for the next four to not play.
That'd be a 3.5M cap saving for the next two seasons if they go that route.
