From my viewings, Gawdin reminds me of a slightly more scrappy Derek Ryan. Very low-event player with the puck in both ends of the ice, but in a good way. He is a good suppressor who can chip in efficiently at the offensive zone. I don't see a particularly high ceiling but I think he'll be an effective player.
