This wasn’t him shutting down the trade to the Flames with 10 minutes to go before the trade deadline to force the Leafs to keep him. The Leafs didn’t want him, that was clear so they found the next place that had interest in him. Him blocking a trade isn’t going to change Dubas’ mind all of a sudden.
This is a phony story made up to play the victim card, like he does every single time his terrible attitude or snap show temper gets him in some controversy on the ice or off. And, he wants to sound like some Leaf hero.

Exactly. I have been continuously baffled why any Calgary fan would want him. As a Leaf's fan, I couldn't wait to be rid of him. He's the worst whiner/liar in the NHL. 'I don't remember making the cut throat sign to Gio..twice' is the tip of the iceberg with this loser. Flames dodged a bullet, regardless of his past numbers and 'potential.'
