Is it the idea of getting Puljujarvi - who is RFA? CGY eats more money on that deal.
What's the draw?
It is interesting that many see Talbot as being able to have a bounce back year, but not Neal?

Well there is still a belief by some/many that you still need toughness in the lineup.
Oilers still have Kassian
Canucks have Ferland and Roussel
Vegas has Reaves and Engelland
Sharks are a big team with some tough guys like Kane
I could see why Tre would be interested in Lucic.
Ferland never did anything in the games against Edmonton when Lucic was around. If the Flames end up against the Canucks in a playoff series, the last thing you want is Ferland running around doing what he did against the Canucks.
It's still a part of the game and Lucic's production last year wasn't that much different from Neal's.
We also saw Maroon, who is a similar player to Lucic, be effective in the playoffs despite struggling in the regular season.
Lucic would bring some things that the Flames don't have.
If Flames could get Pull-Rv as well as a sweetener and Lucic waives his expansion draft protection, I think you have to strongly consider it.
