I actually quite disagree here, and let me tell you why.
When I first started to post on this site, there were a few dicks that made me feel unwelcome here. MMF was the ONLY poster to actually stick up for me and make me feel welcome. The only one. Now, I have no idea what got him banned, nor am I blind to some of his 'back and forths' with some posters here. I can't comment on his being banned as justified or not as I do not know the incident that got him banned, but I trust the mods here that they got it right.
I just feel that there are about 10 posters on this site that run around belittling others, responding over-the-top rudely/aggressive to dissenting opinion, and seemingly relish making others feel bad/stupid. That's why I don't read every thread any longer, or participate as much. It always roughly the same 10 posters or so who just seem to enjoy being dicks for the sake of being dicks. I would have punted them a long time ago myself, so thankfully I am not a mod. Tough line to figure out who needs to go. I just don't enjoy reading this forum nearly as much any longer because of some constantly unruly posters. And no, I don't report them, and I guess that it is also partly my fault that they are still around. (Oh, and it isn't you EE - though we have had some arguments in the past, I always read your posts and appreciate them, even when I don't agree with them).
