It sounded like something went wrong on Minny's end. But that they thought the deal was done and return agreed to.
I suppose where deals can fall apart in the final minutes is around things like conditions - if there was a conditional pick in there or something.

I've been re-reading some posts about the Zucker deal and what j can piece together that seems to be confirmed by reputable media members is:
Frolik's NTC was not an issue.
There was no trade submission with the league
The flames thought they had a done deal.
It all points to something changing on the Minnesota end before the trade could be submitted to the league prior to the deadline.
The only thing I've been able to find about Zucker not wanting to go is this
