7. Improve team size and toughness (not check - went backward)
8. Recoup some lost picks to increase prospect depth (not check)
The second goaltender should come with the RFA signings, but that is not addressed yet. Our team toughness is completely destroyed with the loss of Hathaway and waiting in the signings of Tkachuk and Bennett. Team really needs a top six forward, to recoup some draft picks and needs to dump some salary. A lot of these moves are likely interconnected, but the inactivity prior to the draft kind of hurt in recapturing the draft picks. Still time for Treliving to get things done, but to this point it's been a pretty disappointing off season and he has not achieved much on the to-do list.
