I do hope these concussion lawsuits end up costing all the leagues an astronomical amount of money.

Look after your players. You might not have known back in the eighties all the science behind concussions. You may not have known in the 90s. You may not have had all the facts in the 2000s.

You do now. Steve Montador would be alive right now had he gone into data processing and not accumulated 90 hockey fights + thousands of subconcussive impacts over 25 years.

The NHL as an entity didn't kill Montador. But they could have had systems in place to deal with players having issues after retirement. They didn't, and now a man is dead. Stop telling us there's nothing you could have done when there very clearly is, and stop being okay with not doing enough.
