It seems as though some of you would prefer the NHLs #1 prospect pool and have the team finish 5th worst.
I'm quite happy with the Flames finishing top of the league (and are setup to do so for at least the next few years) than have the league's best prospect pool.
The picks were (generally) traded for players whom helped us win! And Hammer will continue to help us this season! As will the other graduates.
Klimchuk, Poirier, Shinkaruk etc might have looked good on paper but never helped the Flames win!
I do still hope one of the goalies pans out long-term though....
