It is absolutely pennies on the dollar and a likely mid second and third is not remotely close to the value of a 1st round pick.
If Shaw were a free agent he would be a candidate for something like 5 years at 5M+
The value in the trade is being able to get a good player at a good term, and ages 28,29,30 are very sensible on the age curve.
Considering at the deadline teams pay more in assets for 25 games of a player, this feels like a really solid use of extra assets and space.
Fwiw, the second being traded here was originally acquired for Shaw in the first place... Montreal may have been over a barrel here to get that pick back if the offer sheet rumours are try and explain why the hawks were seemingly able to get a deal here.
