He's always had inflated save percentages due to a higher than average amount of low danger shots against. Then this season he got to play behind a Barry Trotz defensive scheme.
Pretty odd that the team he just had a Vezina nomination quality season playing for doesn't seem to want to pony up the dough to keep him. And it's not because they have a young star prospect goalie waiting in the wings either.
Maybe he's the real deal, but I'm not buying it. Time will tell.
