I really like Frolik. I think in a bubble, his worth is probably that of a 2nd round pick - MAYBE a late first for a team really needing to upgrade their forecheck and PK. However, the Flames need to dump cap space. To dump a 1 year contract for 4.3 million, the price goes down considerably. A 3rd would be great, but it is more likely a 4th or 5th. Frolik is still a useful player, and this is why the Flames are more than likely not having to attach a sweetener to move that contract without taking any cap in return.
I will miss him, but this team needs signing room. Wish him luck wherever he ends up.
