I think there is a difference here. Ashley MacIsaac's first album is a mix of traditional Cape Breton celtic fiddle music and rock. iTunes wanted me to put it in one genre or another so I made "unclassifiable". It works. Love that album. *BUT* if I went to a concert where a band switched back and forth between traditional celtic songs like Mary Jane Lamond and AC/DC covers, I don't think that would work for me. And that's what I felt in "Bad Cop, Bon Cop"; it wasn't an action/comedy. It was action OR comedy alternating.

So I'm not saying that I didn't like the movie because I couldn't categorize it. I didn't like the movie because it wasn't homogeneous.
