This is another way of acknowledging that there is no fit for a trade between Calgary and Edmonton. The Oilers will probably get the equivalent of a second round pick from another team, which is about the most that Puljujarvi is worth. If Calgary were to make an offer it would need to be higher than that, and that is an overpayment for this type of player.
