Yes, my session was 10am this morning and was a similar experience as going down last year. I recommend it because the reps seem to have immediate access to the inventory as it changes, before it goes on to the online system. They also let you 'hold' a couple of pairs of seats while you go look at them with an usher. They don't rush you and when I came back down I asked what else had become available. There was nothing any better but he said you can wait around if you like and if something comes up I'll call you over. Within 10 minutes he called me over and gave me more options.
I suspect you're seeing things pop up and go then pop again as people release the 'holds' when they make a final decision. They of course keep your original seats on hold too incase you change your mind about relocating.
There is also coffee, pop and other refreshments laid out for you.
