When this decade began, the longest Stanley Cup drought was Chicago's, who hadn't won the Cup since 1961.
The next longest was a three-way share between Toronto, Los Angeles, and St Louis, who had been playing since 1967-68 without a championship.
Now, as the 20-teens come to an end, The Leafs stand alone at the top (or is it the bottom?) of the list of teams who have played the most seasons without lifting the Cup. 52 years and counting.
The Canucks and Sabres are tied for second, having both joined the League in 1970-71.
Another fun fact, if the Raptors win the NBA Championship this week, the Leafs will be the only Toronto-base sports team to have not won their league's championship in the last quarter century or so.
