I think those things could have happened had the 2nd half of the season played out differently but the coaching change and goaltending change helped correct the path of the team. It's pretty obvious (maybe not to Craig Button) that when a team with talent struggles really badly that replacing the head coach should be done before you start shipping out big name players and blowing things up as it's not likely this team even makes the playoffs had Mike Yeo been given the rest of the season to figure things out.
