Because it's not about safety or common sense, it's about hemming in Canada's oil. Targeted economic attack, it's not a coincidence in the midst of a pipeline boom in the US Keystone and this one are the projects being sued and denied permits constantly. "Honor the Earth" and "Friends of the Headwaters" sued this project, I wonder who has been scratching them cheques, big mystery there.
