Going to the slowpitch/softball thing. As you get older you tend to over compensate on equipment and wear a bunch of braces.
Yup, check knee brace, ankle brace elbow brace.
And then, hideously expensive glove, best bat that money can buy, super expensive pro style shoes, now where that stuff to put under my eyes.
Yup, we spend more money then the pro's because when we're old it makes us think it makes us slightly faster, a better hitter and maybe just maybe a better fielder.
It doesn't. That 22 year old kid in the sweats with the ratty glove and mall walker shoes is about to serve you lunch.
