I finally just looked at the schedule as I assumed that the series started tonight. WTF NHL. The NHL actually had an opportunity to end the season in late May/early June but instead they decide to potentially run it until mid June. I think that during the next round of contract negotiations the players union should push for a more compact playoff schedule. This is getting ridiculous.

I think that instead of the current standard of 2-2-1-1-1 each round should be 2-3-2 with games 4 & 5 back to back followed by a travel day and 6&7 back to back.
