I find the defensive depth a strength, not the other way around. This will give the Flames another talented young winger, that will produce and give you more creativity on the PP. Both first line and PP really struggled after the all star break, and this could give them another option.
Finally, I said that it is the type of trade the leafs will be looking to make. I doubt they would want a defender with one year left on his contract, when they can get him at the deadline for cap reasons.
