That sound familiar? Two future star players with no depth in site around them or real plan.
I look at the Angels with Trout's prime years being wasted and its a good reminder of both of the following:
1. Baseball is the league where a star player has arguably the least impact on the game or winning as any of the other big 4.
2. You need depth and lots of it. Can't have a hole in the batting order, rotation or bullpen.
Maybe we need to give Atkins a few more years of drafting/developing and trading/signing.
Im also still sour about the botched handling of Donaldson and the missed return from waiting half a season to long to deal him when it was apparent even to the fanbase it waould have been the right time.

Jays are following the Houston Astro's plan....
Its a complete tear down, there are other other pieces in the minors.
This type of rebuilding will take patience.
I would think the Jays will move Sanchez, Stroman and Smoak at the deadline.
They will add other pieces (i.e. more pitching and outfield prospects)
