The biggest concern for Oilers fans would have to be the cap management in Detroit - since that's an area where the Oilers are already in trouble.
Nielsen, Abdelkader, Helm, Dekeyser, Ericsson, Daley, & Franzen all look like bad contracts that were too long and too expensive for guys that were role players or on the back end of their career.
He's an improvement on Chiarelli for sure - but his contract management has to be a big concern for that fan base.

He has a track history and 'cred.' People will be willing to deal with him.
But 'being willing to deal with him' is not nearly the same thing as 'being willing to do him favours.'
