that post from strange brew, that calgary has basically moved out an entire draft's worth of picks in the last couple of years with basically zilch to show for it in either post season success or even players on the roster is going to/has killed this group's and potentially the next group's chances of being top tier contenders.
It's really great that Andersson and Kylington and Valimaki all appear to look like they will be NHL defenders. In light of that, it's exceptionally discouraging that there doesn't appear to be any forward help coming up through the ranks to help them while assets have been spent on lazar, elliott, smith, fantenberg and stone.
