My 1.5 year old phone has an mp3 player with 1gb memory, internet and a 2mp camera. so all this doens't seem that great but then again i haven't looked into it just yet. Europe has always been way ahead with mobile phones though. Text messaging was huge here in '96 when everyone had nokia 5500's. i bet it will sell well though, just look at the ipod for instance.

EDIT: just had a quick look on the apple site and it does look pretty slick. not sure how popular touch screen texting will be especially if you have to use the stick to touch, i think people will prefer to use fingers, otherwise it just becomes a pda like a blackberry, plus the touchscreen has already been done, the LG chocolate for example. it doesn't look like a phone though does it, a lot of people really like that clamshell design especially in Asia. I think this is more aimed at the pda market and not regular phone users.
