He became the head coach 19 games into the season and coached them to a 38-19-6 record. On paper that looks like an impressive turnaround.
I'm with those who are not convinced. St Louis had a solid roster that was underperforming and then went on a run, it's not a bad roster that he's turned into gold. Plus he was a part of the problem as the assistant coach.
But it is what it is. Stories win awards. Quietly winning the conference doesn't.
