I think he could be used as a trade chip but I don’t think the Flames are going to be as harsh on him as they will be on their more important and more experienced players who also disappointed. Personally I was a lot more disappointed by Brodie, Gaudreau and Monahan than Jankowski. Far less was expected out of Jankowski and he had no nhl playoff experience before this year. We don’t need to be giving up on Janko or Tkachuk based on their playoffs.
Gotta take age, experience and role into consideration. Jankowski gets another chance to improve unless he’s a trade chip that another team really wants and Tre decides to use him as such.

I wasnt referring to playoffs specifically.
He hasnt really shown much at 5v5 in his NHL career in general.
Dont get me wrong I like him but as a 6'4" C I barely notice him in a game except when he is on the PK.
His even strength underlying numbers are quite bad from everything I've seen posted/published and I dont think the eye test tells me any different.
There is no denying he is our weakest C and is approaching an age where he has nearly peaked in his development.
I could be wrong because bigger guys take longer to fill into their frame but he has never really been a player to use his size to his advantage, outside of his reach, much anyways.
Like I said I wouldnt mind keeping him but would rather he play on the 4th line and special teams for the most part.
Maybe this was all the Neal effect and he deserves another opportunity but with Peters commenting on perhaps playing Lindholm at center it makes one wonder because Monahan, Backlund and Ryan are not going to be moved away from the center ice position.
