Let’s see how the Avs do in the next game before writing them off. They’re coming off a week to rest on their laurels - kind of like the Flames coasting for a week or more before the start of their series, except the Flames didn’t get a wake up call in the first game of their playoff series. We’ll see if the Avs we saw in round one can return to form. Or maybe the quickness of the Sharks forwards can pressure the Avs’ defense better than the Flames. Certainly the Sharks’ defense handled the Avs’ forecheck better than any of the Flames defense (including Giordano)
