i'd be happier if the NHL actually stepped up and said that publicly like the NFL did when they blew the call in the Saints game...
not sure what the answer is though...i think Hrudey said they should get rid of the offside challenge and replace it with reviews for majors... not sure if that works either...
the offside and the goalie challenges have been very frustrating, the latter especially, due to the inconsistency.... i wish the NHL just adopted the "vertical plane" idea the NFL has for TDs... its pretty tough to see if one's blade is on the ice, though i can see that just shifting over as players stop worrying about keeping their blade down if the vertical plane is adopted...
