Think of Leason as a RW version of Rasmus Andersson. Needs to commit to pro athlete training (which he so far has to improve his skating that much). If someone doesnt take him between 20 and the Flames puck, hed be a real gem IMO. And I feel we wont have to wait as long for him to fill a full time roster slot.
Smith never improved anything. He just didnt or couldn't, but Leason has shown so far he can. It's a very black and white thing for me. If he commits to the training like a pro athlete, hes a mark stone.
