After watching TFA again tonight, I fell asleep on the couch and woke up and it was on, I'm think

Rey is Anakin, Anakin is Rey, she is a skywalker.


Why do I think this?


Her upbringing on Jakku mirrors Anakins upbringing. While Anakin knew his mother, he didn't know his father. Rey knows neither mother or father which lends to the idea that she was re-conceived by the Force. Her life mirrors Anakin, she's basically a slave on that planet. Like Anakin she's strong technically and the first time she pilots a ship in combat she's a a elite pilot.


Anakin's lightsaber talks to her and like Anakin she has the ability through the force to see visions. Also when she calls Anakin's lightsaber it comes to her.


When I watched the fight between Rey and Ren, I'm convinced that she channeled the Dark Side, you can see it in her face as she fights with Fury. Also there were a couple of elements of the fight that stood out. She attacks Ren with a powerful over hand slash, just like Anakin against Dooku. There is a scene where she locks up with Ren that looks exactly like Anakins lock up with Ben Kenobi in AOTS.


Which goes to. We hear Kenobi's voice who was Anakin's friend and father figure and Mentor. Kenobi is a force ghost who is trying to guide Rey from beyond the Force.


Then we go to the prophesy of the chosen one, Vader failed to bring balance to the Force. You would have to think the end result would be one force user who balances the dark and the light, which would describe Anakin.



Maybe this time the Force has bought him back to finish the job. Maybe its bought him back to try to redeem Ren.


Maybe Ren's redemption at the hands of Rey will finally end the Skywalker legacy of evil and fully redeem Anakin.


So how does this tie to Palpatine. I'm convinced that he won't be back as an actually participating character in this movie, but Rey will have a flash back vision to a discussion or a moment in time between Vader and Anakin. Maybe sometime after Vader returns from the destruction of the Death Star and Palpatine makes him suffer for it.


Anyways just a theory.
