Neither can I.
One of the explanations for why the reviewers allowed the Toronto goal was the incidental contact probably slowed Rask’s response, but he was so far to the right of the net that he wasn’t going to be able to get over to the other side of the net in time.
But by using the same reasoning, it looked to me like Grubauer was expecting Gaudreau to go around the net to the other side and was starting to move in that direction, so without the interference he would have left the short side even more open for a goal.
