For me with Bennett it's the same thing as with Backlund.
There is a certain amount of minutes per game where they are effective, and their effectiveness really drops off quickly when elevated out of that window. In my opinion that window for backlund is 14-16 minutes and for Bennett it's 10-14.
I hope it works out for him in the top line but it would not surprise me at all if Bennett isn't a permanent fixture on that line but instead is rotated up to that line periodically to get him more, but not necessarily top line, minutes than what he has played so far.
For backlund I think putting Lindholm on his line is explicitly to help him with some of the heavy lifting expected from that line. Frolik was super underwhelming last game. Tkachuk just can't skate well enough with the avs to be much help out there defensively, whereas Lindholm can skate and hit and maintain possession.
No holding back now. Go for broke.
Neal bring scratched is as much an on ice storyline as it is an organizational one. Whether they win the game or lose, there is great storyline potential from this lineup change.
If the flames win it may be hard for Neal to get back in a game for the rest of the playoffs.
